A Thousand Stories - One Last Dance

This is a portrait of my father. Difficult to paint as he has passed. The inspiration came after attending a performance of On Golden Pond at The Little Church Theater in Holderness, NH. The production was written and directed by Ernest Thompson. The play was wonderful. I laughed. I cried. I was inspired. Ernest and Carly Simon collaborated on a song called The Father and Daughter dance..........

A Thousand Stories - Great Minds

It has been a while since I have had time to post anything.
The subject for this painting was stumbled on while looking for an image of a pipe. The image was so compelling and provocative, I contacted the photographer, Bob Krist, for permission to reproduce his image in pastel. I am really pleased with the resulting portrait. I am grateful to Bob for allowing me to use his image.
