Cat Tails-Oil 5 x 7
Cat Tails- Pastel 5 x 7
Yesterdays effort in the two paintings a day. I really love the painterly quality of the pastel. I am much more comfortable in this medium than with the oil. Thus the exercise!
I was inspired to create this blog by my circle of friends and family who, through necessity or circumstance, have fearlessly reinvented themselves in the second half of life.

Unbridled Power
Another of the two paintings a day series. The first is an oil and the second is a pastel. This has been a wonderful exercise and after almost a month I do see progress!
Two Paintings a day!
My New Year's resolution for my art was to do two small paintings per day, one in pastel and one in oil.
These paintings are 5 x 7. I am hoping that this will allow me to become a more accomplished painter in both mediums. Occasionally, I have even done a watercolor of the same subject.
