Here is a watercolor study of the same set of Islands viewed on a foggy morning from Black Cat Island, Lake Winnipesaukee, Moultonboro, NH. The still gray water and gray misty sky provided the perfect back drop for the simple yet dramatic shapes of the island masses. This watercolor is part of a series called From the Sketchbook, featuring the quick, simplified paintings from my plein air adventures.
